About Coach E.

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening. 

I'm happy to have you here, so I can tell you a little about myself, and I hope we get to speak so I can find out a little about you.

I am Coach E to some, Emmanuel to some and Manny to Most.

I have an educational background in exercise psychology and I have been a personal trainer since 2016 working and helping hundreds of Clients in and out of the gym environment. 

I later became a health coach and diabetes practitioner where I worked on the NHS Diabetes prevention program, helping patients to make lasting lifestyle changes to their diet, exercise and daily habits to prevent the development of diabetes. 

I also worked on the diabetes remission programs, helping patients who were already diabetic to make changes to their diet and physical activity levels and also guide patients to make lasting behaviour changes to put their diabetes into remission. 

I had the pleasure of working remotely with 100's of patients across the country whilst on these programs. 

In my 8+ years in the health and fitness industry so far, I can confirm that the most important aspect of making changes is not just what you do at the gym or just how you eat. 

We live in an information age, If knowing what to eat and how to exercise is all it took to achieve your fitness goals, everyone would have already achieved their fitness goals because the information is certainly out there. 

A combination of the right dietary changes, exercise routine and also the part that most people and coaches ignore, i.e. behaviour change, accountability and identity shifting, is what it takes to really make lasting changes.

The number 1 reason for this, is that the vast majority of fitness information and coaching is focused on helping people make changes to their habits and behaviour regarding exercise without addressing the beliefs and identity changes necessary for life long sustainable change.

You can force yourself to change your behaviours and habits in the short term, but without making shifts in your beliefs and identity, it will constantly feel as if you are swimming against the current.

It becomes impossible to maintain those behaviours and habits in the long term, and eventually you give up and the weight goes back on.
